Well we did decent until the big blow started up the large rollers. What worked for us for walleyes was confusion on "0" dipsey's (#3 setting) 75-82' back, and "0" dipseys (#2 setting) 135-145' back at 2.2- 2.5 mph. I tried various spoons at various settings and the only thing that caught the 'eyes was the confusion. Blueberry muffins brought the large white bass and monkey puke brought the sheepheads for us, anyways- once the waves got up to 5' we tried to get in the calm water off the northern tip of the big trees for some perchin' but with limited success. we boated six eyes and lost five at the boat (new netter), it was definately some work trying to keep a full spread going in that surf but we did pull some eyes for our efforts. All of the fish we picked up were from 1/2 mile north of the big trees to 1 1/2 miles south of little trees. good luck and tight lines.

I dock at Meinke's West- Big Trees & Little Trees is a reference to West Sister Island and Middle Sister Island respectively. Sorry for the confusion.

Here is the only list of landmark nicknames for Western Erie that I know of on the web:
