I have access to a offroad gokart (basically a big ATV) to move me and my gear throughout the woods. I was curious about using a ladder stand versus a regular tree stand.

Would it be a waste of time to use a ladder stand when I go out even if I have to set it up at the beginning of the day and take it down at the end? I know it would be like 10-15min to setup (tops I would imagine). But it would be hella more confortable then a normal treestand.

why would you want to set it up and take down daily.Depends on the model stand as of comfort.I use acouple of cheap models but leave them up all year.

Oh it corssed my mind how I used (and still have) the climbing stand I got last year (thx bro). I was just curious as to the ease of this since i don't have any private land to hunt.

Depending on the size they can be tough for 1 guy to set up and take down alot.

if you are going to have to take it down everytime you hunt then your best bet is a climber you'll be more mobile and is alot easier setting up

or even a lightweight hang on(lonewolf) would be better than doing that everytime.

if you don't want a climber just get a millenium stand and some sticks and your all set. seems kinda dumb to go through all that trouble of putting up a ladder stand every day JMO

It sure seems like you would be making lots of noise in the woods trying to set up a ladder stand. Go with the climber.

i have 5 ladder stands and leave up all year , but they are on pvt land and theyre are no trees that can take a climber , id rather use my api grand slam supreme anytime as long as there is a tree available to use , but as 4 taking ladder stands up/down daily , thats a huge task for 1 guy by hisself ,and i wouldnt try it , unless its a 6 to 8 foot model , good luck this year

show me a ladder stand more comfortable than a climber and i'll buy one any day of the week. As for taking one down and putting one up daily NO WAY

rapid rails and a hang-on I get up about 16ft. What I do is take the bottom rail out which leaves no access to the stand. They go up in less than two minutes. Ameristep and API make them....just an idea.....
