I'm buying a new horton team realtree crossbow this week. If u guys shoot crossbow with a scope I would like to know what type of scope?
I'm leaning towards the horton 4x32 is this a good one or not? If so does it gather light and decent to see thru during low light conditions? thanks

I'm not familiar with Horton because my father works at Ten Point. I'd go with the crosshair scope with the red dots at 20, 30, and 40 yards if that's equivalent and offered for your Horton bow. Ten Point offers that setup at twice the price but you won't be disappointed. Try one before you make the purchasing decision.

I have a ten point as well... The red dot scope is ruthless. I have taken plenty with it and not missed a heart shot yet. It is dead on...

erbuck, if the horton has the dial-a-range you can use the horton 4x32. I have one and i love it. The dial-a-range is dead on if you sight in on the proper setting. start at ten yds and work up from there.

I shot all the crossbows back-to-back, Ten Point, PSE, Horton (Real Tree and Hunter), and Excaliber. They are all good bows, but I liked the split limb because it did not feel as front heavy (and the the Excaliber's were too wide.)
The TL-7 with the 3 dot is a tack driver!

RED DOT SCOPE!!! Cannot go wrong, and you don't have to worry about low light. If you can see it, you can shoot it.

That's a good one. They sell alot of Profusions which is a good all around bow. I have the Phantom. It's lights out.
erbuck, I have the Horton(4x32 multi rectacle) scope and mount w/rings that I am not going to use if your interested, brand new in the packages

I had a horton with the red dot scope. Last year I talked the girl into making an investment. Got a Phantom cls with the 3x proview scope. Now the only problem I have is buying more arrows when I target practice. That bow will deffinently hit arrow to arrow. I'd definently go with that type of scope over a red dot anyday. But once again it's what you are comfortable with.
