How many years do you think it will take for the boar population in Ohio to match that of the whitetail population, me and my friend debate about this all the time? Tell me what you think.

Will never happen, They cause too much damage, there will be an open season for them and the population wont grow to the extent of the whitetail...jmo

I doubt it'll ever happen. Southern states have more deer than hogs and hogs have been a problem down there for ever. 50 or 60 years from now you might have the occasional flare up in isoloted spots, but after they are hunted and killed off the deer will come back.

“Anyone interested in providing input and participating in Ohio’s professional wildlife management process is welcome,” said David M. Graham, chief of the Division of Wildlife. Graham adds that fish and wildlife biologists along with law enforcement officers will be on hand to answer questions.
Open houses will be held at the same day and time in Akron, Athens, Columbus, Findlay, and Xenia. Information recorded at these open houses is forwarded to the division’s central office in Columbus, where proposed rule changes to the Ohio Administrative Code are considered.
Topics for the Open Houses include:
The prohibition of possessing or propagating wild boar.
Establishing a minimum fence height for captive white-tailed deer, and requiring mandatory tissue testing of captive deer 12 months of age or older that die or are killed on a permit holder’s premises.
