ok not long ago i got a recall notice on my honda ranchers...i bought 2 brand new 2007s...i bought them less than a month apart, possibly 2 wks apart...

well i took the paper from honda, rode down to athens on my suzuki m/c and got a couple relatives and loaded them up on a trailer i have down there...i keep the 4 wheelers down there 2we get them there and i ride back to reynoldsburg where i live...

heres the problem...the shop, same place where i bought em,calls me an sez theyre done, come an git them...then a pause then she sez...theres a problem...the recall only covered one...and we fixed em both...and i owe for both...

seems honda changed somewhere on the parts a yr. ago...one i bought had the change so they claim...i personally doan buy that:nono: :mischeif: ...i looked at them both and they were the same...

and even if they were different...why did they fix somethang that wasnt even broke...

That's BS...period. They should have called you and gave you the information before they proceeded...they didn't...I wouldn't pay for the other bike, like you said it wasn't broke :irked:

now i want to make sure the story is correct...so you guys get the whole story...
i assumed the recall was for both when i turned in the paper honda sent to me...i gave it to the dealer...they must have ssumed the same an done the repairs...seems to me they woulda noticed if the parts was different that needed fixed... well the paper was for only one...they claimed the other wasnt covered an they all ready fixed it...

but i think they shoulda knew better...maybe poor communication between them an honda to check vin numbers...i called honda an they agreed the repair shouldnt been made by the dealer...

but think bout this an i did ask the honda guy in calif...

i bought both these bikes a yr. ago at the same time...my question to the honda guy was..."why did you feel there had to be a change in the front end...???if it was a problem with steering failure why wasnt i notified a yr. ago...i mean i have one that was bad an supposingly one that got the new part when honda noticed something wrong...a year befor the recall notice...we been ridin them for one yr...:yikes: of course i got no answer an was told i'd git a case worker who would be callin me...and theres more...:dizzy:of course thats juss an assumption on my part but it souns logical cosiderin the recall...

well the sad part is i was havin fun with these hondas,i really liked them,i liked those i dealt with when i got them, hense i go back an buy another...i really liked the ranchers,i seen no problems with them...we ride easy an they git cleaned after ridin...i really felt we'd neva see a problem,i wish i neva took them in...
let me xplain...there is a rubber boot next to each fnt wheel on the steering rod(or axel)...these were crackin an mud was packin in them causing a ball joint i think to deteriate and break...causin complete loss of steering...so i'm not sure if that woulda eva happened to us...but once in a while i'd crack it open...:gaga:

I bought a 400 Eiger at the dealership in Belaire. Good deal, good machine. They call often wanting me to trade in and buy a new one. I tell them I like what I got, besides it's paid for. The little oil filter, $10.00! Still 1000 miles on it and runs like new.

ummmmmmm i do give customers great deals. but what i was trying to say is that you need to be careful when buying a bike and know what your doing. but i don't sell the bikes i work in parts and i don't rip people off almost every body thats comes in to see me walks out the door with a 20% discount off of the retail price.

and why is it that everytime i make a post you seem to follow me around and make some kind of objective coment on it?:tsk:
