I had an idea. I know there has been the idea of getting shirts for the 2008 Bow hunting contest. And I was thinking about if I had some made how I would go about getting them out to each person, and I came up with an idea. My family owns 80 acres and I host parties and outings there all the time. It has the facilities we would need. I was thinking if we could gain enough interest we could have a Ohio Sportsman Contest 3D shoot. It would be for fun and to meet other Ohio Sportsman.com'ers. Ive done enough charity races and such that Im sure i could get the Central Ohio area Outdoor stores to donate door prizes and overall winner prizes. I would of course put these sponsers logo's on the back of our shirt. Also I could have the shirts made and we could hand them out/sell them at the event. All we would need if for about 12-15 people to bring good 3D targets and maybe a covered dish. We could have a display area for some big bucks and maybe a shed table. I was honestly looking at a date and I could probably swing this before the Ohio opener. Maybe the 20th or the 21st of October. We would probably have to get started early that day, say noon meeting time with a cookout and kick off the shoot around 1-2. Anybody that was going to bring targets would have to come a little earlier. I could start trimming a shooting course and get the shirts started on this week. If you didnt see my post in the T-shirt thread, i will post a design I had made by a local guy here for $8 a shirt, very nice Gildan 100% heavy cotton shirts. Also, since we/I dont have permission to use the Ohiosportsman.com name or logo, the shirts might have to be kinda Generic unless i could get it OK'd. Whats the general consensus. I will also post a pic of the place we could have this event. The host site would be near Lancaster Ohio 43130.

I don't know if I could contribute to the targets but it sure sounds like a good time.

Sounds like a great idea. I can't help with targets either, but I'd be more than happy to bring food!

I'm assuming you meant to say you can make this happen by the 20th and 21st of September

Don't want to sound like a prude, but that is short notice and would to be hard to pull off I would think. It's a great idea however my wife has me down for something that weekend already :coco: and Lancaster is about 120 miles from me at least. So logistically I couldn't attend. If nothing else we have an idea to work towards at a later date or next season.

Thanks

The Iowa Whitetail Boys do one every year, they call it a Ravedensous or something.............they do it in March and shed hunt as well. Also, we could move it a little more central Ohio.
