interesting concept. It'll throw a 430gr bullet at 732fps that's slow by rifle standards. But 430 grains at 732 is 1/3 of the velocity of an actual 458 cartridge... I wouldn't hunt what a 458 was intended to hunt with it, buffalo and the big 5... But it would work on deer.. Can you imagine the smack sound of a big bullet going that slow.
