I tried responding to this subject earlier,but I don't think it went through;so here goes again:
PWC's are the perfect toy for our screwed up society.They fit into the category of noisy,shiny,crap that far too many people feel they just gotta have.Like dirt bikes and snowmobiles,they have only a few practical uses,and 99% aren't used for those.Mostly,they're used for showin' off.Once the user gets tired of jumpin' over things,the temptation sets in to go annoy some one or something.This effort,requiring little in the way of brains or consideration for others,is invariably successful.On land there are certain factors that tend to(sooner or later)reign in the dumbest,most reckless(same thing)offenders,but blackberry patches,low branches,and barb wire fences are few and far between on the water.Therefore, we are forced to rely on courtesy and self-restraint.Anybody else notice the short supply of these particular behaviors,lately?
