Mal,
Sorry Pard but I have to get this off my chest ;) ; In about 7 weeks if things go right I am going to corrurpt this fine young man:rolleyes:. I am ashamed of myself but I am still going to do this:(. He is to come over so Mommy can visit her mother and we are going out for the early Goose and Dove season :D.
Yes, that is right, I am going to take him out for his first Goose hunt. I am sorry for doing this to the fine young man but I am just that type of a man:D.
I just hope that he can see that this is not what a good fine young Man should be doing:eek:. Yes I should be shot for this.
Frank R. Steed.

Bull,
The only thing that is not safe in doing something like this is letting mommy know where you live. Mal shooting is now prob:rolleyes: but mommy peppering my truck because of all his new toys, that scares me:eek: .
After he gets bit like this and gets all his new toys he can blame me for it, " See Frank told me I needed this and no one can live with out the Duck Master Unlimeted 2004, yes I know I have the 2003 but I still need the 2004:p " After he gets his ears back in place and a few years down the road and a Lawyer don't come in on her side:cool: Things should be as normal as they get for a Goose and Duck hunter, just don't expect much. I still get weared looks when I am driving down the road with a call tape in and blowing away on my duck or goose call.;)
See what you are in for Mal? Still not to late to back out.
Hey Bull,
First thing I should ask are you married? Well I gess it is to late for that, Yes that was a invite,:) But I will tell you to look at all this before you say Yes.;)
Frank.

Mal

Well Frank I'm a real man I can handle it well sort of anyway. I told my wife before we were engaged, that she would be a hunting widow. For the most part she has accepted that. I can just see you driving down the road with the tape in ppracticing your calls.

O.K, O.K, Here is what I have to say about the blowing gosse calls in your truck. This is a may be a true story  A friend of mine was driving in a remote area of Ohio doing the same thing. When he came home he told me a story about how as he was blowing on this call the geese and ducks that were around him started bombing his truck. This story to this day is always something we laugh about but we surely don't believe him. However, mal, if you get over towards 7th.'s place and see A truck in a severe need of a washing you know you have found him. :D :D BTW 7th I will e-mail you for some details. And thanks for the invite.

Inviting Mal anywhere just has to be an act of insanity. lol

I remember one time...at the chopping block....he sat there and watched us do all this work clearing his front yard. He didn't offer soda's, food, or any pleasentries of the sort...just sat there and watched us slave away. Finally, once we were about done, he came out and gave us a helping hand...but we soon found out he had alterior motives to his actions. Not only did he have us clear his front yard, he then asked us to do MORE work out back. LOL

Then he goes to Canada bear hunting and doesn't even invite me along (coincidently, I fully believe thats why he didn't get one)...whats up with that?? LOL Then (being the good natured person I am) I invite him down to go squirrel and deer hunting with us and what do I get? Some dumb lame excuses about having to work!! I tell ya, the nerve of some people! Since when is having to work an acceptable excuse to pass up a hunting trip?

Ok, enough ripping on Mal....he knows where I live! lol

P.S: Mal, you cut any more trees out yet? I'm getting short of firewood. lol

Mal
07-26-2003, 10:49 PM
For the record, you can't believe a thing Mr Furious says. I had a tree cut down last Oct, and told him that if he wanted it he cou;d come and get it. I come home one evening, and a mutual friend and he were in my front yard cutting up the tree to load it up. I started helping them right away. After they were done, there was this stump in my back yard, and I just asked Tom our friend to cut it down some more while he had is chainsaw out. And actually Jim, we are thinking about cutting two more trees down in front of the house, and the pine tree behind the house needs to go for my shed I want to put up, so have at it. I would have taken him bear , but I didn't want to scare the poor things away. Actually I was a guest with this party, and if I ever put together my own trip I still won't invite him:p Just kidding.

Bull,
I have not been bomb yet but did get FLASHED ;) by some sweet young thing from Florida one time:D . Hey it was a long drive to Parkersburg WV:( .
Mal,
If you need some Ideas about the pout house let me know, it only cost me $2,000 to do mine:confused: , Well that was the start of it:cool: .
When are you getting over this way? The Man that got me hooked on Ducks and Geese will be in next week , He can tell you about getting hooked on Turkeys:rolleyes: , it was only right that I did this to him he got me hooked on Quack;) .

Sorry Mal, was in one of my mischivous moods earlier today and just had to try and warn these guys. You've got my email, so just shoot me a line if you decide to take them trees out. I doubt Tom would want to drop them, but we'll come down and clean up the leftovers for ya again if needed. Pine's only good for campfires, so if ya decide to take that one out we'll just have a bon-fire in your backyard. lol

And I'll remember that "won't invite him" comment when I get my FFL and ya come looking for a deal. :p

Mal
07-27-2003, 02:15 PM
OK Jim, I'll take it back, at least for now. That is the problem with pine, only good for campfires, and I don't do very much camping.

Now you tell me. It would have been easier telling me sooner. Now I hace to wait for this gun shot wound to heal. Just kidding. She actually got a kick out of it. She's actually pushing for me to do more hunting this year, thinking it will keep me from injuring myself any more.

Right now I will say that their will be on the Goose hunt, Dad, my oldest son, Uncle, his boy, a friend Mike, Paws and me. Bull is talking like he may try to make it. We will have to get in early, so we can get the field that we want.
The Dove hunt will add my 2nd son and I hope Mommy (if she is in town then). I may take my 3rd son with us too.
If they come in like they did last time we will have some fun, like I told you bring enough shells.
Frank R. Steed.
ps I am hoping to have some of them Roll-Ups that I put on the nahc sight, but if you don't like my cooking.

Looks like I need to get some worms:D . I hope that I do better this weekend then I did last week:confused: , I could get them to bite and even most up to the boat but I could not get them in the boat:rolleyes: . My friend Greg told me that we was to get them in the boat and not a Hollywood release:cool: .
I was down in WV this weekend, I did not get down to see Jessie, my favorite Aunt past away and I was a Paulbearer for her and that was something that I was proud to do. I will miss her much and the best Cherry pie maker is gone. I am so glad that I got to go see her last week before she turned bad.
You still have my Phone No#? If you need it mail me!

Thanks Beau,
She was a very special Lady, wish they made more like her these days. She was 87 and had a very good life and touched alot on a very good way. The best part is she did not suffer very long, had good health right up till about 6 months ago and then she was not that bad till a few days before she passed away.
I think she was looking for me to come visit her one last time, after I got to see her was when she started to get bad. Just like her, held out till she could say good by to me.

Mal,
I just wonted to give you some things to look at, the shells that I gave you this weekend was so you don't have to buy a box and see that they don't work good in your gun. Like I told you try Mod or Cyl and look at how it shoots in a 30" at 40 yds.
The Rems "Ts" look very good in my gun with a Cyl, and I may go with a mod with the Rems #2's. I wont to give Win Supprem HV a try this year too.
Let me know if I can help more. I still have not got the call, but no news is good news?!

Beau Martin
08-13-2003, 02:00 AM
I'm not sure what gun you inten to use but I have a reminton 870 use a imp cyl and use ether winchester expert steel oer the rmington sportsman loads and they seem to preform real nice in my gun. Whent to visit my folks at thanksgiving last year and foun some hevie shot and federal tunsten at $12 a box so bought a box of each and am going to try them this year. I found them on sale at a local store near my folks if your intersted

Hey Mal,
I was thunking, have you got your pout house started yet? Like I told you make it as nice as you can, after Mommy see's all that you are getting into with the Turkey and hooked on Quack We both may need a place of safety:D ;) .
Plus if you do it right she will not want to come out to visit you and that way you can sneek all your new toys in under the radar:eek: .
I have Mommy beleaving that if you let 2 guns alone in a dark place long enough they will reproduce:cool: .

Beau Martin
08-16-2003, 10:45 AM

Well if things go as they are looking Mal will be here this time tomorrow night and then Sat I will get him hooked on Quack, this is the last time that someone has to stop this. Would you let someone do this to a good friend of your's:confused: . Well Mal it looks like you may be left out to dry;) .
From the looks of the survey you are in deep kempchey:rolleyes: , I will see about getting Mal on here Sat night and see how things are then:cool: .

OK, I spent a wonderful day with 7th yesterday. The final score Geese/Doves1, 7th, and Mal 0. We didn't even see any Geese, and the few doves we saw were not really in range. I still had a great time, and want to publicly thank Frank. Like I always say a bad day hunting, is still better than a good day at work. I myself, don't have to "kill" something just to have a successful hunt. Spending the day outdoors, with friends is a lot more important to me.

Mal,
I had a good time too, Hope that you can come over for the opener of Ducks, You saw how the Woodies and Teal was going in through there.
I think that we are going to have to let the fields cool down some, had Alex and Jordan ( Mommy's cousin that killed the 1 horned buck) and we sat out there for 2 hours and saw 2 doves.
Glad that you all made it home.

I think that I had better let Mal run with the bait some, the hook is in his mouth but I think that he needs to swallow it before I set the hook:D . We did not get to shot but I think that with all the Ducks that was flying in if I can get him to come over for the opener I can set the hook and have another one hooked on Quack:cool: .
Mommy told you to get out and hunt more, so when she tells you that you need to stay home tell her that she can not chang the mind now:p . You have friends that are looking for you to share the misery of the Goose blind;) .
BTW, Mal I just ordered my Duck Blaster 2004;) .
