How is everyone elses deer sightings so far this year compared to previous years?? I know that i have not been seeing nearly as many. At first I brushed it off but now its starting to make me wonder. I work in Kentucky and have nearly a 200 mile round trip everyday to and from work, and have not hardly been seeing any. I have only saw 2 bucks so far this WHOLE year in Ohio, where as last year I would see usually 3 or 4 every night.

Of all the years, I have seen more deer this year then ever.
2 Big 150+ class Bucks crossed right in front of me last night, crossing the road at dusk.
Had 2 fawns and 2 Does Beded in my back yard today....had a 8 point and doe bedded in neighbors yard Friday.
Seen 1 very Big dead Buck on the road a few weeks back...and can't even count how many sightings the past few months.......my dad's place though ususally gets a lot of deer traffic in his garden during the summer, but it's fairly non-existent this year...even his orchard is not being hit hard...so it's not all rosey everywhere.

Tons of deer out there. I saw a doe and a basket rack at 11:30am on Saturday. They were feeding on some corn and I snuck back the lane and seen em.

Tons of deer up north here. The deer here yard up pretty good in late winter. They were hitting our picked corn field pretty good when the snow melted. The most deer I counted at one time in March was around 64. And this is before the fawns have dropped! So I'd say we have a healthy deer population here.
Of course they are all spread out now. This summer on our farm, I've seen two does with twins, one doe with a single and 5 bucks. These are the regular visitors, but I'm sure there are MANY more around.

Plenty of deer in SW OH - been seeing something nearly every day during the commute to and from work. No big buck sightings in the last few weeks for me, but several younger bucks.

Just driving around the area I'm hunting, I've seen a lot of does. One afternoon I saw two bucks together. Both looked to be 8 or 10 pointers. At least I'll get to hunt this year. Last two years, I've had surgeries which have prevented me from doing anything.

Well glad that you all are seeing something. It must just be my area because others i have talked to around me have not been seeing the usual amount also. I know there was an EHD outbreak that killed some deer around here but i don't think it would have took that big of a toll but I guess you never know.

I'm not seeing the numbers I've seen in previous years. SE Ohio. My farm is in Morgan co. I don't see the overall numbers on the cameras and I don't see the fawns. Maybe the poachers are having an exceptional year. The funny thing is my farm and surrounding properties (~750ac) are relatively low pressure bow through late muzzy. I still say EHD had an impact last summer. Maybe not over an entire region but locally some farms took a hit. Mine did. I found three dead last August within 100yds of each other without even trying. I didn't see a whole lot last year during bow and I think the same holds true for this fall.

Been seeing plenty of deer around me. Several nice bucks and plenty of youngsters. Haven't laid eyes on the big fella I was after last season yet though..I hope he is still kicking

last year was my best ever for seeing deer. saw tons of deer in late winter in the fields around my hunting ground..but this summer the sightings have dwindled a bit but i look for it to pick up once all the corn comes off

I have been seeing a lot of deer. I had 6 bucks and 12 does and fawns in the neighbors soybean field an hour before dark a couple of nights ago. Bucks were all 1 1/2 year olds though. This is just in one field, I can go up the road and look in the next ag. field and see more. Quite frankly, a few more antlerless need taken out in the Harrison and Tuscarawas region in my opinion.

on these hot days you can smell dead deer for a long ways...i've covered a lot of terratory...so far no dead deer or smell of dead deer...last year one hollow was so strong you couldnt even go in it...it was an area of beaver ponds...so i assume there was some dead deer in there...it smelled for a mile or 2 in all directions...this was during deer season so it coulda been an unrecovered deer...no matter we still seen a lot of deer...and i see no reason it will be different this year...
