Any one using them? Summits got one thats supposed to good out to 40yds and looks promising. http://www.summitstands.com/catalog.aspx?catid=hotdotplus . Pendulums sound like the way to go. Too good to be true?

I've never tried one. My brother, however, has used the Keller sp? pendulum for years now and loves it.

I've used them in the past. They work but be careful of the yardage claims. Each bow setup is different in that regard.

The reason I got away from them is because I'm such a good shot, pendulum sights limit my effective shooting ranges. Not that I hunt for long range shots but if one presents itself, I don't want the sight to limit/reduce my ability. :p

I use a trophy ridge mantis, I love it. you can lock it down and use it as a moveable 1 pin sight if you are the ground or want to take a longer shot.

For the ones that have used them, do they only work from an elevated platform? I just dont see how this sight would know if I'm aiming at something 20yds or 40yds while practicing on the ground in the back yard.

I use the trophy ridge mantis also. I have to be at around 18' up a tree for it to be accurate. So when you find your tree that you will be hunting out of you need to consider the way the land lays around you, just cause its 18' or higher from ground up doesnt mean out there at 30 yards it will be. If they are like any rolling hills...etc,you need to consider all that. I can lock mine down and use it as a 1 pin sight and have it marked out to where I feel comfortable shooting. If I remember right you set it on the ground at around 20yards and once you get that it should be good to go, but I'm sure you will want to practice with it some before season.

ive owned the keller and the trophy ridge and liked them both. only bad thing is, is that they only work well if your are hunting on flat ground.

I think I'm going to pass on these products. It just seems easier to just get your pins set and live with it. I'm not climbing a tree every time I want to practice and I'm getting contradictory claims on how to use it.
