I was just checking the site's calendar and I noticed that September 1, 2003 which is the openig day for Squirrel and Dove season is not listed? Just thougt I would inquire about that.

What did they do? Push squirrel season back to original opening day? It was in August for the last couple of years but I have never gone out that early cause of the skeeters. I guess I need to read the regs close again this year. I think they change the regs so often to get more income from tickets. Sorry, I'll get off my soap box

They found out they could make more money off fining people $85 per fish that is transported from one body of water to another.

dove season is usually set later.i think it has something bout the migration.not sure but i know they did this last yr. an maybe the yr. before.but the squirrel thing,i believe they will be out there in force to catch people huntin early.i guess you could say you are huntin groun hog, especially if you got a 22 rifle

I dont see many ground hogs in the middle of the woods but that is worth a try. I just wish the skeeters would be gone earlier so I can get more time in the squirrel woods. By the time they are all gone it is deer season and I have a hard time leavin my bow at home!!
