Going downhill, all the weight and stress is on your front end and therefore brakes. Sounds like they got super heated due to your usage of them on the steep hill...the ambient temperature didn't help any. You could have damaged them severely. I would be pulling the wheels off and checking them. Are you getting any "wobble" when you apply the brakes now? If so you warped the rotors and pads and they need replaced.

Thanks deerhunt 45
I did a search and found the same info you're talking about, Seems like its kinda common
Found it here http://repairpal.com This site says it should cost between $293 and $460 for front brake pad replacement and resurface rotors, Do you guys think thats a fair price?
Thanks Again Ducs N Bucs:confused:

I doubt the rotors can be resurfaced, besides you don't want that since the temper of the steel has been changed by the heat. Replacement OEM rotors are the way to go. I'm not familiar enough with your vehicle to estimate replacement costs although I will say $460 sounds kinda high for just the fronts...$293 if it includes replacement rotors/parts and labor sounds reasonable. Good luck!

I had the dodge in low low but with a auto trans it starts picking up speed as the hill got steeper, But I found a good mechanic on repairpal and going to get new pads and rotors before this weekends pig hunting.
Thanks guys
