River scouting

Who get's out in August and September to scout the rivers under low water prior to the steelhead runs and higher waterflows?

The way this summers flows are going I won't get much scouting in but we should have enough water drawing early fish in as soon as the water cools!

I will usually get out in september and do my scouting of the rivers.Take a day and just go out walking and catch a few smallies or maybe get lucky and find some crappies or even an early runner in the lower portuions.
