I am not a professional fisherman by any stretch, but when you go to a lake 6 times with 2 people and don't catch a fish there is something wrong. I have spoke to many locals and to hear one gentlemen call it the "dead sea" was "dead on"

STAY AWAY

try novemberish, when it is cold as heck, NO SKIIERS!!! and other speedboat jerks. then start cruising up the shallow creek arms off the main lake, if all is well then you will see shad all up in the creeks and gargantuan stripers eating them, i caught five last november ranging from 20"to 28" running blue chrome bleeding ratt l trap, and silver bleeding trap.

I have also fished in the East Fork Lake. Shore fishing, but still fished there. i must say i have given up that location. i have been out there a lot of times but have never caught a thing. i have changed locations, baits and times i went but nothing. i see catfish surfacing every once in awhile but nothing ever on the hook. the times i went, i also saw fellow fisherman and they never pulled anything in. now boat fishing, that is a different story. i have seen people come in from the lake and have a dozen crappie along with other fish. so i know they are there but from the shore, i have noticed nothing.

try using some of the storm baits fish them slow and deep, stay off the main channels and west end of the lake, you'll catch most of your LM and striper towards williamsburg end, coves and creeks that run into the lake produce well, try a chatterbait also;) BTW water temp is at 50 right now striper are gonna be hittin, and look at the map i know of some spots where there are fish attractors near the shore, you can catch em there too

I have never liked East Fork bet I also know a lot of people that catch fish there. Again I don't like East Fork.

Again I have a pay lake and there are people that tear it up there and there are other people that never catch anything.

Lake Remington, South on wards corner right on 126 1.5miles on right.
A friend and I took it over last May. 8.5 acres Nice lake big cats we stocked trout 2 weeks ago maybe 3. I'm not on here to hype or sell it. But is is a nice lake. different then the average pay lake. You're not fishing on top of each other you can have fires. There is a bait shop and you can drive down to the lake.

Stop by creak chubs, trout heads and blue gill are hot bait on the cats. Best spots are left side of lake and far side.

We will have hybrid bluegills around mid April or the first of May when the cat fishing goes to full force. We get all of our bait from whole sale bait. With the exception of some chubs. dead shad and skip jack
