Hello everyone! :)

I am new to Ohio, new to hunting, new to this forum.
I am interested in learning to become more self-sufficient.
To me, that includes learning to hunt and provide for myself.
I am comfortable with firearms, and have been a gun owner
for about 8 years.

Am interested in talking with others in Ohio who hunt, and
to be able to find out more about the best places locally to
hunt. I am in East Central Ohio, in Tuscarawas County,
near Amish Country.

I also enjoy fishing, hiking, target shooting, and pretty much
anything outdoors. Any info on things to do of this nature
in my area would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Looking forward to participating in this forum.

Welcome to Ohio! I work at a gun store/ shooting range, and my girl friend is an instructor(firearms that is) so if you ever need some info, feel free to give me a holler and I am sure one of us can help you out. We are in portage county, and I do a lot of ground hog shooting in Wayne county. So if you need any info about them I will tell you what i know! Take care Dan :coolgleamA:

Well this is the place to learn some of what you need to know about hunting but there is no subsitute for getting out there in the field and just trying it. Trial and error will teach you alot...trust me I would know :) . But the members here know a helluva lot and and are always more than willing to answer any questions you might have.

Hello. My name is Stacy. I am with our local group planning our Women in the Outdoors annual event. It is soooo fun. We are located in Johnstown Ohio. Our event is going to be held on June 13th. This would be a great opportunity to meet other women who enjoy the same activities as you. Some of our classes are ATV Repeling, Wine making, Power equipment operation of coarse Archery, deer hunting, shot guns Muzzle loaders and so many more... As soon as I can a flyer i'll try to post it for all.. We also have breakfast Lunch and an awesome auction and gun raffles.. Sorry MEN Women only although we still need some teachers. Any questions email me .. Thank Stacy;)
