Pussed out?!? I was riding double on a 4x4 quad on new trails in the dark after half a bottle of Jager with dudes on sport bikes that had ridden there before!!! I think I did a damn fine job of just staying alive :D

Why be part of the contest if you don't stay involved.It is for fun, but I look at it like you join you should be involved till the end.I think if the people don't check in every couple of weeks,and the Team Decides to move someone else in that will be active they should be able too,an alternate should step in.I had a great team last year for being active and the season was alot of fun with the contest.Get one or 2 dead beats and what fun is that.might as well be on the side lines.

you said nothing about checking in periodically... i think that is a given that that is just common courtesy. there is a big difference in having comprehension skills and being a mind reader.

I think people should have to check in once a week at a minimum, but it isn’t in the rules.... And that would create crap loads of extra work for 45.. Some teams will get stiffed with some of those first post signups, it's just a way of life.. But I am sure 45 will do his best to make it fair, and replace them if they don't check in..

Just having fun Jack, no problem here whatsoever. However, I thought it would be okay to explain myself. Is that okay with you?

I was simply making light of some things from last year. People would sign up, then would completely disapear never to be heard from again. Why did they sign up to begin with? You couldn't even pm these people to see how things were going. They were gone. And it happenned on several teams.

Not a big deal, I do understand this is in fun and people are busy. But if you aren't going to ever check in, why on earth did you agree to join a TEAM (important term here...TEAM :idea: )to begin with.

It takes no added effort on 45's part if people check in.

Hard to believe that a person can't post on a forum encouraging others who sign up for a friendly TEAM "competition" to actually participate, without getting people so upset. People have misconstrued my intentions.

One more thing, you do take the cake on starting stupid arguments. :D

Your comments brought an idea to mind for next season. To qualify next season you must be a legitimate member of the site for no less than 30 days prior to contest signup opening... with a minimum of 30 posts (smiley face or similar one or two character posts would not count towards your minimum)...and a completed profile.

But that's next season :rolleyes: You're right about some extra time involved in trying to be fair and hey, if I have it I will give it to try and make this as fun a contest as possible. That's one reason I scheduled the signup like I did to spread the time out. I do have a job but we do so much on the internet these days with email, web based reporting and accounting etc. that I spend a lot of time at the computer anyways. Seems like 75% of my job is spent at a desk anymore...kinda sad but someone has to do it :p

Nothing against you Peppy... just thought your first post implied that you would be unhappy if you got teamed with hunters that were not totally hardcore in to this competition. I must have interpreted it incorrectly. i too would be disappointed if a teamate didnt "check in" periodically, but i dont think anyone should have to hunt the entire season if they do not want to. sorry for the beef...

I have found a jewel of public land that is landlocked by a creek on one side and private land on the other. the creek is maybe a foot deep and 20 yards wide.... I have seen 1 other bow hunter over there.... And if people ask me why I hunt over there, well it's because it keeps crossbow bob and his folding chair on the other side of the creek. leaving me a square mile packed with deer who have been run over there from the other side.

I'm not trying to bash on them I just don't like the way most of them I’ve seen choose to pursue deer hunting. When I park in the morning I never see them pull cammo out of a scent bag. I never see them spray down. They usually pull up, get out, crush out a smoke and grab the cross bow out of the back seat. And these are the ones who get there before daylight... I can't speak for the 4-5 cars who show up between 6:00 and 12:00 after I'm in the woods.

You can say BS all you want but I have hunted public land for 3 years at least 3-4 times a week.. I've seen it enough to make a damn good observation.

On a side note. I’m NOT saying Brad is this kind of hunter. He is a honest, good guy. Who just happened to make that his weapon of choice that day, and there isn’t a darn thing wrong with that. If he wants to sell it then so what, maybe some jackass with a fat wallet wants to buy it. And as far a endorsing products you didn’t use before, so what! If you buy all the hunting products out there because some guy is posing with a dead deer, then I’ve got a bridge to sell ya. If I ever shoot one that big you can bet wall mart will be sold out of film and 1 of every hunting product on the shelf.

We just shaved the badges off.hah. im just kidding, it is a triton v-8 and it doesnt do to bad on gas, about 19 highway, and close to 14 in city..thats better than the other truck. i actually might be getting a 95 mustang, to help with the gas.

But if your talking about the runs between junction and bremen, thats really close to my house, ive never been there, but if you want to meet up there sometime im game for that, that truck is far from a mud truck, just a playing off road truck.

I'm a Redneck. I like practical things. Crocs are perhaps the most practical clothing item I own. Easy on/off. Easy to keep clean. Light-weight. They don't make my feet sweat which is a miracle. And they are comfortable. All that outweighs the fact that the rest of you are not comfortable enough in your manhoods to wear a practical set of footwear because they "look gay". :rant:
