this is a quote from my "source"(who i want to thank very much) that i recieved this morning

quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
YOU CAN transport gamefish or bait to another body of water.

got it straight from the head of law inforcement
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

this should clear up things for everyone concerned,so go get your gills and catch them flatheads:) ;)

i know some people(me included)don't like rely on secondhand info.although i do and did trust my original source,i took it to the top, just to verify it for others.
below are a couple excerpts from the answer i recieved.

It is lawful for you to legally take baitfish such as gizzard shad, minnows, from one body of water and then use them to fish in another with a valid fishing license

It is lawful for you to also take sport fish (those fish not considered rough fish) such as bluegill by hook and line and then use them as bait, provided you have a valid fishing license. These fish could be taken by hook and line, and then transported and used for bait at another location. However, wherever you go with them, they need to be legal to posses (size, length, quantity) at the body of water you are fishing
people may call 1-800-wildlife for information,or to speak to an enforcement officer.
some people may have complaints, but as for myself,i've found the ODNR to be very helpful, anytime i've approached them.

no.it was nobody i know, but that's what got me started on the search for the "real truth".;)
some of the wording in the regulations is confusing, and i've been working on getting some simple expainations of them,so people would know what is legakl and what is not.

i still think there is more to the original story, than what meets the eye.

Thunderflight, it was my brother-in-laws co-worker.I'm not what sure happened to him I told my in law everything from here we found out, but I haven't talked to him in awhile so not sure . The other night a wildlife officer came down and asked for our licenses .He also asked what we were using for bait I told him and he said okay and left.I had bluegills, green sunfish, bullheads, and chubs and he didn't say a thing. Thanks MISFIT for the help.:)
