Does anyone out there know the orgional color these old throwers came in from the factory? I am restoring one and would like to get it right. It has been in the family forever ( 1030's?) It says; "Remington Arms Co. Inc./ Bridge Port Conn./ Chamberlin Works Findlay
Ohio / Expert Trap "

I know it looks old but they used it last year and it threw the birds just fine. They are all heavy metal and just need a good sand blasting and paint. I know Gramp painted the base and the bench he built for it red but from what little I've seen on line it looks like they came painted black. Or maby Oiled???

Attached is how it came out after sand blasting and paint. I'm happy.
