Hello everybody, I have a summer job at a grain elevator and my boss is allowing me to bring home huge bags of Dry-Roasted Soy Beans whenever I want. I thought maybe these would work well for a deer attractant? I placed a big pile of the beans in one of my woods this afternoon and put my trail camera up facing the pile in hopes of some deer coming to eat the beans.
Does anybody know if these Dry-Roasted soy beans are common to use like this? or would anyone know of any home-made deer attractant that I would be able to mix up?
Let me know please, Thanks!

I tried them, deer did seem to like it. I also seemed to get alot more pictures of coons than with corn alone. i'm talkin4-6-8 in a picture.Seemed like a racoon parade from dusk to daylight. Overall i'd stick with the corn but can't beat free and coons can be dispatched of properly.

Hey im just keeping everybody posted about the success of my roasted soybean experiment. It is working great so far, I have plenty of pictures of deer, and surprisingly no critters!
We recently got a lot of rain so the bean pile was under water last time i checked on it, so I need to find a higher place to put them so they do not rot and smell horrible back there. Ill keep posting updates on how its working, thanks!
