bare spots in plot

I just went down to check both my food plots and in my creek bottom plot (1/2 millet 1/2 clover), I have a couple small patches of bare earth where either the clover didn't grow, or I just missed the spot when hand spreading. Can I come in around August and top seed my plot with clover to fill in these areas or should I just leave it go?

i would tear the ground up a little bit and re-seed it.
