Alright,my wife suckered me into a camping trip to rockyfork.I've never been there and I'm taking a boat.We are going the wee of the 22 of June. How crowded will it be? At this time of year will the fish be biting and where is the best place to fish? (other than in the water)
Need help

Went there last weekend caught some nice largemouths,I seemed to do better in the shadey areas around good structure, most of my bass came off of a Booyah 3/4oz. spinnerbait in chart/white....GOOD LUCK

Here`s where we like to fish, for Bass, on Rocky Fork. We usually go towards the end of July. We catch them on topwater, crankbaits and spinnerbaits. You can find underwater vegetation out away from the shoreline, also.

I like the lake, but it`s a 200 mile round trip for me. So, I only go once a year. Probably won`t be going this year, though.

Good luck.

This is my home lake, it is more of a Saugeye and Crappie lake than a Bass (trash fish) Lake. Depending on your fishing know-how (http://hubpages.com/hub/Fur-Prices-are-up), I may have got you on to some hot Saugeye. We have caught stringers of 5 pounders in a day (very good day) trolling..or you can hit the dinks. But the Saugeye in my opinion is a much better pursuit then trash fishin'..I mean bass fishin'

We went to that lake and we thought it sucked. :irked:

It does generally suck. You missed out on the awesome creek that that sorry excuse for a lake holds back and contributes to. I can catch fish there, but I live here. And I certainly wouldn't go there chasing trash..I mean Bass. The Muskie all died out of there..the fingerling Saugeye they put in, the males die by the time they reach 12" and nobody knows why. So no it isn' a great lake, but if you live here and happen to be a Walleye tournament angler (http://hubpages.com/hub/Fur-Prices-are-up) you can catch fish.

Its not that we didn't catch fish because we did,we just didn't catch any quality fish.I guess if we would've used dynamite maybe we would've done better.I have to say even though I wasn't at work it was a wasted trip

It's not easy, it has some spots. But even the veterans bolo on some days. Should have taken a canoe ride (http://hubpages.com/hub/Lets-Get-Back-To-Living)down the creek you would have done alot better.
