thanks...didn't realize DR had a pull behind. They put out some great stuff. Its a little pricey, but its like anything else, you get what you pay for. How long have you had yours? and does it mow over 1/2 inch to 1 inch saplings fairly easy?

The DR pull behind even lets you offset the mower so you can drive in the clear....

yeah...but 3000$ for a new one is a bit steep....for 3000$ more you could find a good used tractor with a brush hog for that much.

I have found a couple good used ones for around 500$, pull behind brush hogs that is....they've been a little two far to travel however. I'm definitely in the market however for around a 40 horse, 4x4, with some attachments....perferably a front bucket and tiller....if you come up with something let me know

You don't really need 4x4 with a farm tractor... You can easily do 1 acres food plots with a good 30 hp older farm tractor and a 3 bottom plow/8 foot disk. Ya just have to understand how they work. My want to hit craiglist but watch for scammers...ask for titles...We have a pull type for behind the 4 wheeler and its pretty nice but I would put that kind of money in a tractor brush hog combo for what they charge..

I'm probably just going to go to a ford or john deere dealer and buy either a new one, or a newer one...some are 1 to 2 acres, but most are 5 acres approx....

yea we have a tractor but i have to hual it from place to place and so its easier to pull a 4 wheeler and a mower than a tractor and a brush hog.
