Is it legal to fish from your boat at night at CC? I know it's a state park and the sign says closes at dark, but is that just the "land" area or are you not allowed to have your boat out past dark as well. Was thinking about making a night trip tonight. Can you fish at night on CJ? If not where can I put my boat in the water tonight and fish?

if the boat launches are locked up at dark then thats probobly a yes they would like you off the water .if there are other launches or they stay open then i would say its ok .mosquito and pymatuning let you fish all night .but they have boat ramps out of park property too .check to see if they have a website

To my knowledge, I've never heard of a State Park boat launch closing or having restricted hours

I'm sure you did. The park itself is closed but I would bet you can use the boat launch. I could certainly be wrong and be sure to check with the State about this particular location.

I've spent nights on both CC as well as CJ Brown. Now Eastwood in downtown Dayton is a metro park and it IS closed at night...

Often times the closes at dark refers to parking and driving into the park at night. It does not mean you cnat fish the lake at night via the shoreline or boat however the interior launches and or parking lots may be closed to motor vehicle traffic.

FISHONAJ, I heard that too in reference to Eastwood, but when I work late nights at CMC and take route 4 home there are plenty fo laterns burning on the shoreliens of Eastwood to make me think differently, whats with that???

I've read in the paper on certain weekend nights the hydrobowl stays open until midnight. Other than that i'd say they were "sneaking" in

The water is open all night.. Heck I have hunted the property at night for yotes.. In the hunting areas the signs also say "closed to all other activities from 8pm to 6am other than hunting from Oct to Feb. I have seen people on both lakes all night. The park closes at night signs mean the picnic and playground areas.
