It was a nice day on the lake Thursday, south wind and sunshine.
I fished a couple points with a blade bait and ended up with 33 smallies
for the effort. Nothing big, but they were all good fish, most in the 3lb
range. They were biting good enough that I couldn't leave them to look
for bigger fish.
I caught them all on a 3/8 oz. chartreuse TNT Nitro bladebait.
I went looking for largies today, ended up with 9 and soaked by 10.
All caught on a spinnerbait.

Little footballs.

Hmmm, wonder where you got those  I got a 20 incher a few weeks ago with the MWA mod squad. It bit a Reefrunner, trolling for eye's...

Thanks for the report WLB now you are striking some nerves in my fishing arm, love those smallies. I will make it sometime this year I hope. The big lake is just a little scary in a 17 foot ranger. I know I have fished it in a 14ft starcraft and 10 horse motor but that was when I was much younger. I have been working on the crappies right now, but I will be back on the bass before long. Have a good day and thanks again for the report. OLE PAW PAW
