Due to work obligations, today was my first full day in the turkey woods.
However, fortunately all I needed was less than the first hour of daylight.
I was able to sneak within a 100 yds or so of 2 longbeards that were hot on the roost. I gave them a soft tree yelp to which they responded and I waited till daylight and let out a fly down cackle and they both gobbled. It did not take long and they were in full strut at my decoy and I managed to bag one. They gobbled just about everytime that I called. He was 20 lbs.,had a 10" beard and 1&3/16" spurs.:bouncy: Good luck to all that are still in hot pursuit!!
