The white bass are starting to run in CC. Caught a few the other day and plan on going in the morning.

twister tails in a orange/brown body with a solid orange tail. I'd almost say crawdad color.

Tried on Tuesday night and couldn't get any WB to hit my spinner. Thanks for your help.

Was at CC today caught about 20-25 crappie over 10 inches, several more under that, that were tossed back. whites were in 3-4 feet of water, blacks in 1-2 feet of water. Water is still muddy but, I'vee been out 3 times this week and it's better every outing.

Thanks for the reply. I was looking too deep. 14-18. I guess they've come up so I'll have to find them. My boat is slow- 5hp. so I need to put in where I plan to fish. Evidently I'm in the wrong area. Wellman . I'll look at the North end next week.

hit up the main creek again last night and between me and my brother we had 20 white bass, 4 decent sized saugeyes and a couple small largemouths. Had on something big that took me under a stump and broke my line.

Out again today, tossin a 1/8 once white rooster tail, caught several white bass, All jacks, my guess is another week or so for the females, depending on this cold front, Caught a nice saugeye, then fishing right where the Y is I tossed that tiny bait in about 6 inches of water where the sandy point is, saw a telltale swirl about 5 feet to the left of my bait and hooked up about a 36 inch Musky on 6lb test and a medium rod, fought it for about 3 minutes got it close to the boat once and it spooked, turned to run again and severed my line, sigh, got my heart pumpin though.

Sounds like the WB are picking up w/ some promise of fun fishing soon. I'll be back there next week hopefully. MB sounds like that Musky was serious fun. I've never had one on. I'll be purchasing some 1/8 white tails.

I've always done well on the medium to small white rooster tails, and the white road runners. that muskie was a pure fluke, but I think I may have a new addiction. Seeing that big beauty roll next to my boat, was like a crackhead getting the welfare check at the beginning of the month to me.

I have caught a few smaller muskies 2-4 pounds in the creek but never seen a big one. I'm just waiting for that big one though.

Fished CC this morning. 2 decent LM on white spinnerbait up close at rocky shores. 2 Bluegill... Saw a lot of crappie fisherman. Didn't see any being caught. Anyone else do anything this weekend at the creek?

fished the creek from about 6 till dark and I caught 5 small saugeyes and my brother caught one 15in muskie and 2 small saugeyes. It seems like the white bass have just died off.

The cooler air probably had something to do with the WB bite. I was in the red/black/white striped jon boat. What were you fishing in?

I don't have a boat so I just bank fish. We almost always fish the point where the two creeks meet.

:) You've probably seen me out there then, I'm the guy in the maroon and white Nitro, by myself or with one of my young sons. Holler at me next time, and we'll make room

I'll keep an eye out for you guys next time. Hopefully this weather won't run the fish too far down. I'll spend more time on that point. Thanks for the advice.

Fished the cove by hopewell day lodge and ended up catching 2 saugeye, 2 largemouths and a 5 pound drum. My brother caught a crappie and bluegill. I caught the drum on a black and brown rapala, the bass on a silver rattle trap and the saugeyes on a chartruese twister tail.

Sunday morning the Crappie were on from 8:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Only biting on minnows. It was beautiful out there. They were in about 6-10 feet of water.(64.5degrees) The shad are spawning all over the place, so hopefully soon the bass will be up harvesting them:idea:
