Yesterday was the Jersey Scrimmge won by the offense 55-44. No Turnovers by the offense, with Saine scoring on a run, and Hartline catching 2 touchdown passes.

Boeckman looked real good, had good command in the pocket, stood in the pocket and made decisions like a quarterback should. Backups Joe Bausserman and Henton were quicker to leave the pocket, some of it due to injuries on the offensive line.

Saine was used quite often in the "pony back" and he will change the offense this fall....the scuttle butt and all the "buzz" this spring has been Saine in this position, and like I said earlier in another post..be aware this will add a new dimension. His receiving ability which we saw in last fall will add even another wrinkle.

The Defense looked very good....and was one of the bright spots at scrimmage.

On the 3 DB's that were put into the dog house this week......All three DB's that are in the dog house were running on Friday, and on Saturday.... Washington worked with the 3rd team defense.....Backup safeties O'Neal and Eugene Clifford wore the yellow jerseys...typically used for players sidelined...and usually for injuries. These 3 Players are under Tressels "coaching' and will await his decission on whether they will be suspended and for how long. They made some bad decisions, and will have to deal with the consequences......

Thadius Gibson(Sophomore from Euclid) looked real good in Gholstons old position..worked in the 3 man rotation and at the two end spots, joining Lawrenece Wilson and Cameron Hayward.

Laurinaitis is a legidimate Heismann Contender and as prepped as any Defenisve player could be to make a run at it. He could use a little boost with any run....how about Fullback????:D

The rest of the linebacking corps looks tapped...Spitler and potential strong side starting linebacker Curtis Terry have worked in there.

It's already been stated that O'neil and Washington will be suspended for the 1st two games then will return for U$C. Clifford is out for the season. This is his second offense since joining the team. UM had Clifford in the bag until they found out about his love of the weed. We already had enough of them on our team:irked: . Your backup, Checkwa, is probably as good as Washington. Most think he'll end up being a 1st round pick some day.

Well...didn't want to say it just yet...but the discussion is whether it was the 2nd or THIRD offense(Third offense buys him a ride off the team) for Clifford.....and UM stil has splenty of the weed tokers using the current supply..and Clifford wasn't going to get his share...so he went somewhere, where there was a supply.:D :D

Saine, Boeckman, Laurenatias. Hartline, Robiskie, Wells, 2 potential Heismann trophy candidites...this is going to be fun!!!!! I haven't even mentioned Pryor and all the offensive lineman either yet!!!

I almost put down 3rd offense as well. I know he got busted on a traffic stop with his Dad before he was even enrolled I think. Yea, we got plenty of the tokers still. I know Carson Butler has been busted once for it. Ryan Mallett was rumored to toke up regularly as well. We all know about Manningham. I'm pretty sure it happens on every team. The best you can do is try to help them, and make an example of them when they do mess up. I definitely don't throw stones at other teams for kids messing up. Too hard for coaches to babysit that many young men. Laurinatius is a great LB, but probably will never see another Defensive player win Heisman. Woodson toiled on offense and did special teams to help him. Wells I could see getting it. But ESPN and the rest of the mainstream sports media is all over Tim Tebows nuts. I think Stafford or Moreno from Georgia will win it.

Oh yea, I mentioned him. But your guy's own Kirk Herbstreit and his buddy Corso can't stay off the Florida bandwagon long enough for anybody else to get their name mentioned. I'm just glad that Notre Dame sucks, or else you'd have to hear all about Jimmy "EMU" Clausen. I think you'll hear alot about Moreno and Stafford. They may split some votes. My preseason top 5 Heisman guys would be

1.Tebow-FLA
2.Stafford-UGA
3.Wells-O$U
4.Moreno-UGA
5.McKnight-U$C

Others: Harvin, Laurenitis, Regis Benn, C.J. Spiller, Noel Devine, Pat White

Doesn't mean too much right now...the talk is all talk...Just like Brady Quinn was at the top of the list too when he played and Smith out played him.....but Quinn didn't ptoduce and it went by the wayside.....If Wells and Lauanatias(he's a longshot)...have great years...they will be in the running along with anyone lese able to have a great year....we'll have to wait and see how the season develops.

Herbstreit is indeed an ex-buckeye but i think he's one hell of an announcer.in fact he's pretty good at being honest and neutral when it comes to the suject of osu.
