I had a professor in college that asked the question of us one day, "How many of you are quick to tell someone about a bad experience you had with a company?" Almost the entire class raised their hands. He then asked another question, "How many of you are quick to tell someone about a good experience you had with a company?" Not many of us raised or hands. The discussion that followed those questions has forever changed my feelings towards quality customer service.
I wanted to take a minute and relay a positive experience I had with T.R.U. Ball Releases. A few weeks back I sent an email to their Service Dept. explaining that I had sent my Pro Diamond Extreme through the washing machine while washing my hunting clothes. In the process, I lost a few screws from the caliber head and I had to duct tape it together to make it through the season. I was instructed to send the release back to them and they would fix it.
I mailed my release out on 4/1 and when I arrived home last night, I found that my release was completely repaired and mailed back to me free of charge. Not only did I receive a prompt response to my email, later that day, but my release was fixed and returned to me in a very timely manner. I just wanted to give a shout out to T.R.U. Ball Releases and thank them for such excellent customer service. Quality service seems to be a thing of the past. I know what brand of releases I will be buying, and recommending, for life...

WOW that is some great a customer service... But I would still have an issue with it falling apart after just a wash cycle.

Good to know they stand behind their products. I really like my Pro Diamond from T.R.U.
Let's see BR1023, you've lost that release and sent it through the washer and dryer. What's next, run over it with your Jeep???:yikes:

I've got an Xtreme that I've put through the guantlet and it's still going strong. No doubt Truball makes some great releases, and it's really good to hear their costumer service is so good!

bowhunter1023,
This is so true! I try to make it a part of my life to complement others on their good products and/or service. Whether it's a meal at a resturant or a product that I've purchased. Everyone is quick to complain, but very few are willing to pass along a good word. :) It gives you a good feeling to see the joy in someone's eyes as you tell them how good the food was, how well the release worked, etc.
I have a Tru-Ball wrist release and love it. I've had them in the past and will continue to own them, as they've always performed well for my hunting and target needs.
Good hunting, Bowhunter57

I probably wouldn't hold up too well... :)
The reason I was shocked it came apart was my $30 Tru-fire release goes through the wash and dry cycle every other time I wash my hunting clothes. I 've had it for 2 years and it's probably gone through 40 times. I think the difference is It's doesn't have screws holding the body together. It looks like some torx looking pressure rivets.. But there is one Hex screw that adjusts the pull on the trigger.. it hasn't worked loose though...

The only screws I lost were the two Phillips head screws in the head of the release and the screw holding the thumb tab on. I had that screw out a few days before it went through the wash so I can be blamed for that. My BT Gold 3 back tension had been through the wash several times and has never lost a thing...

I used to work for TRU Ball almost 8 years ago when I was in high school. I was in the assembly department. They are based just outside of Lynchburg, VA. They were great to work for then and seemed to really focus on customer service and quality, it sounds like it hasn't changed a bit. I have been shooting a Tornado I assembled 8 years ago and have never had a bit of trouble with it.
