Well it's something. Definitely something to build on for the younger guys like Turner, Kosta, and even Diebler (although he struggled). I'm glad to see Butler and Hunter go out with a win. I'm just glad to see Terwilleger go out. :irked: He makes more boneheaded plays than anyone I see in college basketball. Terrible passes, ill-advised shots, doesn't box out and grab rebounds...he shot a LAYUP last night that didn't even draw iron!!!

Bringing in two McDonald's All Americans next year in BJ Mullens and William Buford, adding to the solid underclassmen already there, should make this team pretty good next year.

They played well last night and the UMass team played pretty well also - was a great game to watch. The Bucks played their best ball, but the level of competition probably had something to do with it too:mischeif:

Koufos - many reasons he should return: several good big men going to the draft this year, he will improve in several areas, he will get to play the 4 spot next year with Mullens at the 5 which will really show case his game.

All that aside I bet it is 50-50 that he goes. He'll have the NBA guys talking in his ear for one thing. But I think his mother has a lot of influence over him and she was not happy with Thad this year. She (and Kosta) were unhappy most of the year because he had to play the 5 and stay around the basket - he doesn't like this at all.

Hopefully they see what next season could do for him. I for one think he will avg. over 20 points/game next year and could explode with some BIG numbers. He probably has a legit shot at Big 10 POY and national awards playing the 4 all year. He would end up a much better pick in the draft, perhaps a lottery guy.

We will need Buford to handle the ball, but how about Turner - who the heck is this guy??? He really turned it on lately and showed what he can do; lots of promising So. returning.

Announcers said koufus could of played ball back home for around 2 million a year. That buys a nice chunk of hunting ground.

ktrain - after his huge season for the Greek National team they offered him reportedly $5 Million for 2 years!! He chose to come play NCAA ball instead.

Money is not an issue with his family, however I don't think they have millions and millions. His father passed away when Kosta was a young boy and he and his mother are reportedly very close.

The NBA is where the money is & he could potentially make $100 million in a career over here with contracts and endorsements. He could never generate that in the Euro league.

I like to thnk he examines everything and returns. It doesn't mean squat for me, but I think it would be a sound financial decision.

And I'm betting when all is said and done he could buy whatever piece of hunting ground he wants - ahh, it is nice to dream:coolgleamA:

I can't imagine him going pro, but I couldn't imagine Daequan Cook leaving as a Freshman last year, either.

Cream - I'm with you. And look where Cook is now - the developmental league:dizzy: Cook was poor and from the Dayton hood - he saw the dollar signs and bolted. He is still going to make 4 million bucks if he never pans out; that's like a $100,000 job for 40 years, so I guess he is doing ok:biggrin: Koufos has a nice life and also a much higher NBA ceiling than Cook - MUCH higher.

I hope the team sticks together - I think they could contend for the league title if a couple guys step up. Lauderdale is about a horse in there too - he has some real potential IMO.
