I've seen them in the Ohio river on the ohio border and have heard from a legit sorce that there were half a dozen or so shot about 80 miles upriver from cinci....Do you have any pics of the one you got and did you report it to the DNR?

just saw a thing about them on the ohio channel ,they have electric barriers on all the rivers and steams leading into the lake to keep the asian carp out of the lakes .so if you found one it should have been reported to local wildlife officer .and if you caught one you d better enjoy your last 2 years of fishing lake erie because those things are said to be able to kill out all other fish populations in 2 years once they reach the lake and breed.they move up to 30 miles a day in a river i am sure it wont take long to infest lake erie.

They actually eat them. There is a market for it. Why not just rip them up with fishing boats? If they are going to kill the lakes and other waters. Why not let the fishing boats just drag bottom and haul them out? I might be way off but a 9 million + price tag on trying to keep them out of the lakes. From the sounds of it they are there. They will decimate other spicies. Just cut your losses and get them now.
