does anyone know if the walleye will be biting by april 12th?

Not sure, I will be fly-fishing but when that's done. Here I come walleye!!!!!!

Francis - you should be in good shape by 4/12 and the beginning of the bite should be on. It may be a tad early, but they usually really get going by the 3rd week in April and you should not have a problem finding fish on the 12th conditions permitting.

If you can get through the ice, you could catch them now.
They're in deeper water now, but each week they will move closer to the reefs and shore.
You should have no problem catching them in april, if it's not rollin and real brown. Good Luck!
