well i finally beat Rick to it!

busted a fattie at 125, addie ran up and did the honorable "pee on the groundhog" salute.

drove on over to the other field, here i saw a SUMO @ 297 according to the leupold. held about 6-7" high and squeezed one off, he flipped over and tail didnt even move. addie ran up and sniffed him and walked away... wonder if that means it was his time or something LOL

I just put my g-hog rifle in my truck a week ago but the weather hasn't been that nice around my area to get out.

Now I am going to have to work hard now to get ahead of you.

I haven't had time to get out on sunny days and when I have had time to get out its starts raining.
This Ohio weather really suck this year.

I have been reloading ammo like crazy for myself and some of my buddy's.
Monday I place a $2055.00 order for powder, bullets and primers. Tuesday I place one more order for Remington STS once fired shotgun hulls then I also order shot, clays powder and primers for them.

Like I said I am reloading like crazy here this year.

I been thinking about sending in for my free ohio hunting license this year. The doctor gave me the paper work years ago to get a handycap permit for my kenee's and I see if you are a permint holder the state of Ohio will give you a free hunting license deer permits and some other permits so I thinking that I should take them up on it this year. I have to write a letter and send it in and see.

I think the quit the free permit and tags for handicapped hunters. Although I think the are still discounted. Or maybe that is age I am thinking of.

Bagged my first g-hog today, with a .410 slug, why a 410 you may ask? well it was the only gun in my truck..the shot was at approximately 10 yards..

seen 12 ground hogs so far this year and didnt have my 30-06 with me any of the times i did get one with my car though does that count

I have seen a few out so far, but not even gotten the rifle out yet. I may take it with me north this weekend in case the fishing goes south.

yeah i meant 08, missed one 3 times last night! @ 167 off hand... shot over first two, splattered him with dirt on the 3rd shot... couldn't hold still!

I missed a small one twice last year. Probably would have been three times, but ran out of bullets. Ha. I shot the mother with the first shot and the little one was sort of running around trying to figure out what just happenned and I couldn't hit him for nothing.

Well I got 3 today. 1@147 yds, 1@247 yds and 1@267 yds. So all in all I guess it was'nt too bad a day. Got rained on for about 15 minuets, but.... you will have that! I will try to get the pics inthe gallery, cause I still havent figured how to put them in the post.

sorry redmist, just now saw your post, you just copy the URL, be sure to deleter the things that say [img] at the beggining and end of the url, then in where you reply to a thread you click the yellow button with the mountains in it, and paste the URL in there, and your done..

The good news is the 22-250 I had for sale all winter long and told you guys I had for sale ......... well its sold !

I havent got as many as you yet this year, but have been doing alright, my farthest for the year is 225 yards with a Ruger M77 chambered in .223. I've shot a few with my 17hmr and even got one kill on film with that gun. I broke out the Remmy 6mm the other day but never got to take one..

What gun and caliber are you shooting??

Iam using a Savage mod. 12 in .308. It has a Nikon 6-18 scope on it, 1 inch tube, and the Nicoplex retical on it. Overall I like it, but I think i would like a bit more magnification on it. Also the retical covers too much of the target at longer ranges. Oh! How did you get that pic in there? I tried doing the url thing and it kept telling me the file was too large. Thanks for doing that. And how do you make the pic bigger in the post?

You Just copy, I belive it is called Direct link, You copy that, then come to where you want to post it at, in the window where you reply, in the top of the box, there is a square that is yellow with mountains in it, click that, in the windo that pops open you delete where it says http:// than you just right click paste and then hit OK, and your done.

Well I got 3 more yesterday, so I am up to 19 for the year now. How is every one els doing? Ihave permission to hunt a new farm that is closer to home so I hope to get out and do some more shooting.

Last night I got out. :bouncy: The first since the first of June. Popped one at around 250yds w/ my 222. Man it was sure good to be out again. :D
