I don't know how safe I'd feel carrying that 'very transformer-esque' thing around in my back pocket.

Cool, I'm sure some folks in the "personal protection" business will be very interested.
I still remember when Hinckley shot Reagan, couldn't believe how many Uzis appeared out of nowhere.

It's class III, not that easy to purchase.

I think I'd feel very safe carrying it but it's not gonna replace the ole H&K 45...
Why's it a class III, is it full auto or something?? It's just a pistol carbine that folds up...

He said it was full-auto, and if it was semi you can't have a buttstock on a pistol.

ohiosam,
I watched the video several times and the man does NOT say that the weapon is "full-auto". He states and poins to the rear of the weapon that there's a place for an auto sear, which would give it a full-auto capability. :)
According to Federal guidelines, you are correct in that you can not put a buttstock on a pistol, but it can be sold with one. However, that makes it a carbine, which opens up another can of worms...the barrel length. :irked:
Even so, I'd like to have one of those little critters. :bouncy:

At around 33 seconds in he calls it "a folding machine gun". Even if they make a semi auto version it can't be that compact after adding a barrel that 16+"
Maby not for every day, but just for something different.
