what is the best call to use, early bow season, to call in a buck? and do you use it aggressively or conservatively?
this season i called in a 4pt with a doe bleat late in tha season, and made a successful shot. what worked for you??

Early season I like to use the can bleat calls(primos lil can works good for me). I had a sixer come into mine the first week of bow last year. But I use calls very conservatively. Especially when they aren't rutting. I just try to set my stand in a good location and catch 'em walking bye.

This is what I belive is the best bet for early or late bow season, but during the rut thats a different story.

Agree. Setting up around a deers main food source or a main travel route is your best bet. As far as calling in the early season, I to have had luck with the lil can as well as short grunts.

In the early season I like to be conservative with the grunt call. I just try to make it sound like a buck that is letting the other deer know "here I am" and not try to sound aggressive. This has brought in a lot of bucks just out of their curiosity rather than aggression.

Early in the year I don't get aggressive with calls on bucks. Like everyone else said, though...the rut is a different story!
As for does in the early season, the Primos Lil' Can has claimed the lives of many, many does for my friends and me. This past season is actually the first year in maybe 4 or 5 years when no does were killed off of that call. It produces more of a young doe bleat, and it really works 'em over in the early part of bow season!
