Hello everybody from a dedicated bowhunter from SE PA.!I'm planning a bowhunt this fall in WNF and I'm wondering what kind of hunting pressure occurs here.I ordered 14 topo maps around Athens area and I'm wondering how far off the beaten path a guy has to get to get away from other hunters. Also what kind of woods is typical around that area, thick and brushy or open mature hardwoods like we have in PA up north. It seems like there are a good number of roads on my maps so it seems like easy acess for other hunters. Is this good or bad?I'm planning a scouting trip in April and I wanted to know what to expect. Thanks everybody!

Welcome to the site
A lot of big deer are taken out of WNF each year some areas are pressured more than others. I say hunting pressure is mod.-high during gun and mod. during bow season. The guy with all the WNF answers is coonskinner I'd look him up. There are also a good number of WNF threads on the site so just do some digging.
Good luck next year
