In the next two weeks I'll know if my wife is being tranferred from God's country to OHIO. Being a trophy husband (salesman) I'm forced go as well. We are looking at relocating to the Delaware area. I know this is a broad question, but What fishing and hunting opportunities do I have to look forward to. I hunt deer and Turkey, I am an avid Walleye fisherman however with a 4 mo old running up to Erie is going to be on a special occasion. I need help knowing that there is at least something to do nearby.

Deleware has a Huge Public Hunting area that is pretty good for Deer and has pheasant releases that offer easy opportunties to harvest birds. In that section of the state, I believe there are several resevoirs and streams with good Saugeye populations. This is the perfect site to get info from. There are alot of guys on here that will help you out.

Welcome. As mentioned, there is public hunting land and fishing closeby in the Delaware area. You are not far from the Wayne National Forest either. Lots of deer and turkey there. We do have good inland fishing for saugeye (hybrid stocked fish). Lake Erie is THE place for walleye although some of the inland reservoirs also hold walleye too.
