Welcome to the site. :)
That's a river I'd like to get on some time. I had heard som eless than flattering things about it when I first moved here in comparison to PA streams but the more I've learned about it the past 3 yrs the more interested I get!
Just a long haul from Akron. :(

I have been out twice so far and actually did fairly well both times.... with a grand total of 9 fish between the two trips.... 7 browns and 2 rainbows... the biggest of them all was a 22" brown taken under the rt. 55 bridge just outside urbana

water is high ,real high .the good news is all the ice on the banks should be gone when it goes down

The snow is coming down pretty good here in the Dayton area, and the drive to Cincinnati just dosen't want to happen. I think I may be "cough-Cough" sick. Maybe a little river water can clear this up. We'll see whats happening today.

The water was up just a bit yesterday, caught one 16" brown after about 2hrs of fishing. It was just as I thought, I had the water to myself. I know I would have done a lot better had I put down the Fly Rod and brought some spinning gear.

Never caught any trout that far south. I always wanted to try the tailwaters below Huffman dam. Anyone got info on that area?

I have, never had much luck. That part of the Mad doesnt have much change in stream contour or rocks, its pretty eroded out and straight. Just not much cover for fish to get out of the current.

was out over the weekend in the area of rt. 55 and 36 just outside of urbana.... wasnt the greatest of fishing days... a lite drizzle but it was soaking :( but did manage 1 brown and a sucker.... the brown was only 12", not many people out, saw only one guy wading and using a fly rod
water has been really high for a while so I figure when all the rain decides to end and the waters drop back down fish should really turn on, the water levels were still about 2' higher than usual sunday

Fished the Mad on Sunday 4/20 and had a ball. The big fish of the day was an 18.5" brown.
