Saw 5 Bucks Friday Eve...

....just after 6:00 in Beavercreek (Greene Co.) still packing their antlers. They were all small bucks, spikes, 4 and 6 pointers. They were at the edge of a small cornfield and were determined to cross the road into a residential area. I have seen them after dark in the front yards off and on the past few weeks. They will probably end up being someone's hood ornament soon :yikes:

I saw a nice 10 pt Thursday about 4pm crossing an opening between 2 small wood lots. First racked deer I have seen in a while, but my buddy has 4 smaller bucks with headgear hanging around his place.

Yeah that, they are heading for their favorite and dependable winter food source...the nearest neighborhood, it's urban deer's version of fast food! They prefer the buffets, where there's corn feeders, bird feeders and lots of grass and landscaping. :)

I'm finally starting to see some signs of shedding. We went from one half-rack buck to at least 2, maybe 3. Two we have on camera, the other not on camera but we found one side of his rack. I also have one of the 7 bucks from behind my house on camera now that has shed both sides. It's about time!

I'd have to say its right around the corner. I plan on hitting it hard this year. It seems like they are holding late again this year.

Had two sparring behind the house tonight - watched them for 10 minutes hoping an antler would fall before my eyes. One didn't. Will they ever shed?

I saw 7 different bucks Sat. afternoon in one field and only 3 of them were half racks. Lots of horns still attached.

Saw about 7 deer in the same area last night....couldn't tell if any had racks or not:(
