Cool idea. This photo is of one of last year's sheds I found, but I challenge anyone to find one smaller than this one on the left!

You know it is a small shed when you pick it up and your buddy says "What is that, a stick?" :D

Cream - I have found smaller... The one on the right looks petrified. Sure its not a TRex bone?

Ha! The one on the right was probably a few years old and had been hit by an ODOT bush hog (I'm assuming). I was biking part way to work in Athens late last summer, and I spotted that along the highway berm right outside Athens. The base of it was sticking out of the grass onto the pavement and I just happened to spot it. Pure luck!

This is a great idea! Now we've got motivation to go out there and put on the miles. It's still early. Lot of bucks still packin' out there.

These are the sheds I found 12/24 - 12/25. Beams ars 28 3/8 and 28 0/8. Longest tine is 13 7/8. Inside spread guessed at 21. Grosses a little over 190 nets in the 175 range with 16 scoreable points. Found less than 100 yards apart. I will work on getting a better picture.

Very Impressive JD! That matching pair will be tough to beat.
That is a whopper of a buck mounted there, but what I like most is the double throat patch! Don't see that too often and it is especially unique on that SLOB of a buck! Very nice mount!

There will be a drop shed antler contest at the Ohio Bowhunters Assn. annual banquet this coming weekend, last year we had a great turnout for this. Thanks to Ron Perrine for bringing this forward and volunteering to score them.

Thats a nice set of horns. Did you just find them this week? I've found 11 so far this week but only 2 wre from this year. The squirrels chewed them up bad.I'd say 80 % of the bucks around here are still carrying their horns.

I don't have anything nearly as impressive (and let me say for the record those last sheds posted are WAY COOL!). BUT I had a fun morning in the woods. Picked up a beagle at the local animal shelter last October. I'm not a very serious rabbit hunter, but I do like to go out from time to time. I've been taking the beagle along with the brittany out for a walk in the woods about once a week. I carry my shotgun just in case, but mostly I just go to get outside. The beagle has been running a rabbit here and there, but not very good. Well today everything worked perfect and she got on a rabbit. Trailed it perfect and ran the bunny back around in a circle right to me. Her first rabbit success!
Plus, oh yeah, I found a couple sheds. I guess that is the point of this thread. LOL!

If it wasn't for the squirrel damage this would be a pretty good one. I'm happy as can be with it anyways since its my first of the year.

Heres a couple pics of one I found last evening. I had never went specifically shed hunting before, reading this thread got me pumped about it. Man was it nice to not carry a gun and just walk around and check out all the things goin on in the woods. My son went with me and we found alot of coyote sign, deer sign to use for next season and watched a flock of turkey's work through the pecking order. They were gobblin, strutting, cutting up alot. Thanks for the inspiration guy's.
My first shed. I measured it at 84.5 inches
