If a buddy and I are out hunting coyote together.. I have a Fur taker permit and he doesn't.. Say a coon comes rambling out and I bust him..

Say ranger rick sees us walking out of the woods with me carrying the coon.. Could he bust my buddy for coon hunting without a fur takers permit?

I don't see how your buddy has done anything wrong the way you describe the situtation.

Nope, I can't prove he wasn't coon hunting. By the shear fact that a member of the hunting party possesses a coon a warden could probably argue the fact the no possessor was coon hunting... Although I believe logically he would have to be in possession of a coon before he could be proven to be coon hunting.

Yeah, I agree I told him to get a permit.

I don't trust em. Leave no chances. I once got a ticket for a fish that was 1/8 short, after he was dead in a ice chest for 5 hours. This was 5 years ago, i recently found out it was still on my record as a fishing without permission charge... apparently the warden wrote the wrong code on the ticket... I could get it expunged as i was fishing in a public park. but why go through the hassle of not explaining why i paid the darn thing. .
