Didn't have an option for other. I have bought most of my stuff from ether Cabelas or Wal-Mart. I have also found that when I go home to visit the folks I have been going to Mills Fleet Farm, they have a lot of stuff during the seasons. The inly store I even know wher it is located is Gander Mt. and haven't bought anything from them since they don't have the catalog any more.

for hunting and shooting vances gets my vote.their policy of matching prices has kept me going back many, many times.i bought my savage 111 7mm rem mag w/a leupold vari II from them and i couldn't find a better price anywhere.that makes it nice to be able to deal with one shop.
cabelas gets my business for outdoor gear.i've had to return a couple of things over the years and there's never been the 1st hassle.i had to send an alaska guide model tent back to them last spring because it had a couple of bad spots in the fabric.at 1st they wanted me to send back the entire package(tent,rainfly,etc.).after i told them i didn't want to have to seam seal another rain fly they told me to just send the tent back.i had a new one in 3 days.good service!!!!

what about BassPro. I like the store and their mail service. Cabela's is comparable, but I am close to Cinci.

Gander Mountain is the best place to go in cental Ohio except for guns at the Hillard store. You have to get that "illegal" permit to buy in Columbus city limits. Otherwise they have quite a bit of equiment though the sales people are not very knowledge but thats no different than Galyans.

heh heh that had to be one of the biggest blunders of all time...can you believe they built that store there then found out later about the permits???of course their was the guy on refugee who built a liquor/pizza on refugee to later find out you couldnt sell liquor but he later got that changed

MY VOTE WILL BE BUCKEYE OUTDOORS!! THAT PLACE HAS EVERYTHING YOU WILL EVER NEED!! THEIR GUN SELECTION CAN'T BE BEAT. THEIR PRICES ARE KIND OF HIGH, BUT THEY HAVE EVERYTHING THAT A CATALOG LIKE CABBELLA'S OR BASS PRO WOULD HAVE SO YOU DONT HAVE TO PAY SHIPPING. AND AS AN ADDED BONUS THE CHICKS THAT RUN THE CASH REGISTERS ARE FRIGGIN HOT!!!!:D

Yes the new Buckeye Outdoors is nice but I didn't consider that cental Ohio. It is but I thought central meaning Columbus area. I'm from the Cambridge area and make sure I stop whenever I head back to home at Buckeye.
