Well opened up my mail today from my local cable company and the letter reads like this.We are looking into helping everyone one with the high rise of cable today we are working hard to help keep cost down but also keep up with high demands of todays tech.So as a result of this your bill will be raised $10.00 a month($120.00 year). Were is my saving. So i called and ask about the letter and they said yes that they need to raise the bill to help cover the cost of equipment and there was nothing they could do about it.So i dropped them.
My question is how many of you have Direct TV and how are they as a tv supplier.Have any trouble wit them or the equipment???
Feed back would help me decide which one to go with direct tv or dish network.

I have Direct on a 12 month program. I moved to them from Dish which was about 20% higher. I'll look forward to my letter. I haven't received it yet.

I work for a cable company. If everyone knew how much false advertisment direct Tv gave I don't think anyone would go with them. Very Very decieving. There rates are very comparable to cable when you compare exactly what you are getting. They love to advertise about what you can get till you actually break down the packages. Working for the cable company I get to see it first hand.

Out here in the sticks where I live cable was not an option,we went with Direct TV,,no major complaints.....I guess the only real complaint is we only get New York station, for weather and sports,I could care less about NY Pro teams in any sport...

No doubt a good option for those who have no access to cable
