well guys i found out about a week ago this guy the browtine buck got hit on the road october 28 he was the buck i really wanted this year :nono: i now it was him because i saw the pics the funny thing is he was about 4 miles north from were he had been all summer and early fall :confused:

That's too bad, but it's also very interesting to see just how far these bucks will travel.

I read last year that bucks can travel up to a 5 miles in search of does. I feel bad for you. Do you know what happened to the buck after getting hit? Hopefully he passed along his genetics in years past to some of the does in your area.

That sucks man, I know. It's happened to me so many times, I will not even hunt if there is a state highway close by. Hunt a buck all October, and one morning there is the big red stain with pieces of antler on the highway down at the bottom of the hill.
