Sprind Bear Hunt

Good news guys.....Will be leaving on a Spring hunt to No. Quebec the week of June 7th with my son and his buddy. On the North branch of the Ottawa River at Camp Denis. Hunting was'nt allowed last year because of high kill #s but is again open this year. The outfitter informed us that he has only 10 permits and gave us a special rate of $650 for the week including cabin. That's a bargain now a days and I'm excited about going. Hope to hunt the same stand I hunted to years ago on which I missed one bear and saw a monster blackie in the 500-600# range:D Old "Buckethead" awaits me:) .....TF

The outfitter said that he's got 40 baits out and 35 have been hit so far. The area we hunt has the highest bear population per square mile than any in Canada he told me. True wilderness with bear, lynx, wolf and bald eagles everywhere:D . 3hours northeast of North Bay and 18 hrs from Ohio.

I remember a trip over 20yrs ago....I saw moose every day feeding on the lake edge and saw a blonde-phase wolf chase a cow moose into the lake from my treestand...something many people never get to see in a lifetime:) .....TF
