Who can i take my cape to get tanned and not wait 8 months to get it back. Anybody in NW ohio that does it?

I believe there is a guy around Van Wert that is a taxidermist and does his own tanning. Hope this helps...

What are you tanning it for? Most reputable tanneries have that sort of backlog, especially this time of year. Also, most tanneries will not accept work from the public, only taxidermists. You can try to find a local taxidermist to tan it for you. But, it's unlikely it will be the quality you'll get from a tannery. Also, any good taxidermist doesn't have time to do tanning for other people. You may as well give up on finding a tannery close to you, as there is only one. He only does work for taxidermists, and his timeframe is not what you want. It's not a big deal to ship a salt dried cape, so don't limit your options.
