How do you get in the contest?

It's too late for this year. Teams were set prior to the beginning of bow season. But hey, maybe the judges will let a late join or who knows, maybe take somebody's place. But as it stands, it is " too late ".

I was looking at the contest photos of everyones deer. I see most everyone uses a compound bow, I have one, but am unable to use it since I lost my left hand. I now am stuck useing a crossbow. Would this be a problem for next years contest? Seeing how many people say useing crossbows is cheating. Trust me, if I could use my compound I would, but it looks like I'm useing the ten point phantom cls from now on.

No one responded in a day, so I'll let you know that there would be absolutely no ill effects /attitudes towards you for using a crossbow, if so, then Eschatts and Deerhunt45 that posted above will deal with it, Eschatts is a "lighweight" so I'd go directly to Deerhunt45 whom is a "heavy weight" in the "Super Moderator" division, so he be da man.

Hi Cal, I am in agreement with oldhat, the hunters on this forum know it is about the experience of the hunt, and not so much about your method for killing the deer. Shoot what you are comfortable with or in your case what you have to use. I shot a crossbow for 5 years because of back injuries and i would much rather do that than have to give up hunting.
