anyone seeing any deer movement now that gun season is in full swing? Just got off the phone with my father. He took a doe on Tuesday after seeing over 15 deer on his 100 acres. He has hunted yesterday and today without seeing a thing. Are they holding tight now you think? I hunted tonight on a farm that I usually see deer on everytime out. Didn't see a thing. Plan on hunting the farm on Saturday. Hopefully there will be people out moving them.

Been out the last couple of evenings. Last night had 5 does come out at about 10 till 5:00, let them go. Tonight, I was just thinking about getting down and had 6 does come out. Didn't want to spook them so I sat and watched, wouldn't you know it a total of 20 does came out. It was getting really late and I finally whistled to get them to move out. I am only in the woods from 4 on, so the deer are moving late, from what I have seen

I was wondering how the deer were moving after Monday. Monday had to be one of the weirdest opening days on our farm. We have a ton of deer here. Everyone who had hunted prior to gun season was seeing multiple deer everytime out. We had 6 guys out and set up before first light on Monday and not one deer seen. (We did see a few later on a lunchtime.) The neighbors property that usually sounds like a war zone had a few shots during the day, but mostly was eerily quiet. So odd.
It's been really windy here the past couple days so I didn't know if that was affecting deer movement at all. I took tomorrow off work to hunt so I was so hoping to hear the deer are moving better than they were on Monday.

I hunted Monday and will not get back out until tomorrow, but I talked to my dad who has been hunting the past two days. My dad killed a 7 point last night with a spread past the ears at 3:50. He told me he heard more shooting the last two hours of daylight yesterday than he had heard the last two days.
