I am currently reading this book. It is the story of Operation Redwing and the Lost Heroes of Seal Team 10. It is written in the 1st person by Navy Seal Marcus Luttrell. I challenge anyone who speaks out against the War on Terror and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to read this book. Here is my favorite quote from the book:
"My name is Marcus Luttrell. I'm a sniper, and I'm the platoon medic. But most of all, I'm an American. And when the bell sounds, I will come out fighting for my country and for my teammates. If necessary, to the death."
Gives me chills...This is the type of young man who is fighting these wars, without question and without asking anything from us except respect and support. We owe them far more than either of those. Respect and support should be without question.
