high fence...

well i heard there is a high fence operation for whitetail in athens county...nothing confirmed but was from a nonhunter who thought it was a very unsportsman like way to hunt...i found myself defending myself,stating i hunted out on the national forest...boy this stuff is a blackeye to us...i'm talkin high fences...this person heard it from a school teacher thats a bowhunter...and does have respect for how he hunts...kinda funny he knows me and i felt he was putting me in that element too...:yikes: then he stopped and said he wasnt...man i'm hoping this isnt true...thats first i heard of it...:eek:

I've never understood why anyone would be interested in that! I raise Jacob sheep, most have 4 horns, I've been told I could sell my ram for good money to a fenced "preserve". If you don't want to go hunting just go and buy a mount on EBAY and lie about shooting it:irked:

I live in Athens County and have not heard of this. Did they give u a specific area or what town it was near?

George - They just recently put a high fence around the OU airport to keep the deer out. Could this be what your nonhunter friend was talking about?

( Well lets hope that mrex is right and it is for the air port..) I am from Michigan we have these things all over up here.. the guys from the city come out to the a "kill suff" NOT hunt.. My feelings on fenced in killing killing zones.. is it is sad for any animal to die like that.. They have no chance. But most 1 1/2 year old bucks in Michigan on Nov. 15th do not ether..lol.

I have never hunted one of these places I could not do it..

My freind had me come video him..Wild bore / pig killing at a fenced in place up here.. I vowed I would never go to one of them again after seeing what goes on there. :yikes:

It goes against all I was tought as a kid about hunting and ethics..
